and this is what I heard Him say:
God spoke to me today from Exodus 16:28 “where the LORD said to Moses, ‘How long will you refuse to keep my commands and my instructions?” and this is what I heard Him say:
“Isn’t it amazing that often good questions don’t get good answers. What could Moses say in response to Me? First Israel grumbled for food and I provided quail and manna. I provided the manna with clear instructions ‘No one is to keep any of it until morning.’ But some did with great disappointment. The exception was on Saturday, they were to collect enough for Sunday. Some didn’t and ‘went out on the seventh day to gather it, but they found none.’ So I asked Moses the good question, ‘How long will you refuse?’ to which I did not receive a good answer. Not much has changed. I still provide everything for you just as I have promised to meet your every need. Still, too often my simplest instructions are ignored. For example take following your pastor’s lead, attending church faithfully, really tithing, getting baptized, joining a local church, or sharing your faith verbally with unbelievers. All simple and yet refused by those who claim that I am their LORD. Isn’t it amazing that when I ask you ’How long will you refuse my instructions?’ that often I don’t get a good answer. So change that today. Tell Me today that you will do My will.”
