and this is what I heard Him say:
God spoke to me today from Exodus 13:8 where God’s Word said, “I do this because of what the LORD did for me,” and this is what I heard Him say:
“Gratitude should be your life’s theme. Because I knew that the Israelites would miss the purpose of the Passover feast, I pointed it out to them rather bluntly. They were to celebrate Passover BECAUSE OF what I did for them! I saved them, I delivered them, I rescued them from slavery, hardship, and death. Nothing much has changed. You too should make gratitude the main theme of your life. I sent My Son, Jesus, to bear your sins in his body, to die the just for the unjust, even as I made Him, Who knew no sin, to be sin for you in order that He might bring you to Me. Your whole life should be one of gratitude for what Jesus, My Son, did for yours. He saved you from sin’s penalty, He rescued you from sin’s power, and He delivered you from sin’s final destiny—hell! Everything you do since coming to faith in Jesus should be motivated by loving gratitude for His love, grace, mercy, salvation, forgiveness, peace and joy. Gratitude should be your life’s theme.”
