Exodus 19

God spoke to me today from Exodus 19:4 where God says, "You yourselves have seen what I did to Egypt, and how I carried you on eagles' wings and brought you to myself," and this is what I heard Him say:

"Sometimes you need to remember where you've been and how you got where you are! You were just like Israelites who were enslaved and in bondage.  They were enslaved to the Egyptians and you to your passions and lusts.  But then I did the miraculous.  I  intervened.   I performed ten plagues.  I parted the Red Sea.  You might say, 'I carried them out on eagles' wings.'  I've done the same for you.  I miraculously forgave you past.  I intervened in your life.   I parted all the temptations of life and opened a way of escape.  You might say, 'I carried you on eagles' wings, too.'  Like them, so with you, 'I brought you to myself!'   I brought them to myself at Mount Horeb to receive My will in stone--the ten commandments.  I brought you to a different mount, Mount Calvary--to receive My will as found in My Son.  Just as they could not take credit for where they were, neither can you.  I don't want you to forget that.  Instead, you need to remember where you've been and how I got you where you are!"
