and this is what I heard Him say:
God spoke to me today from Exodus 2:12 where it says, “Glancing this way and that and seeing no one, he killed the Egyptian and hid him in the sand.” and this is what I heard Him say:
“You can’t hide your dark side. You might try. You might even succeed with your peers. But I always see your dark side. You do have a dark side. Some are darker than others—but everyone has one. Moses’ dark side was very dark. He murdered a man and tried to cover it up. Now, I could have blinded the man who saw it before it happened so that he could never have told of it—but I did not. Moses’ dark side had to be revealed so you would know that it was not Moses who was so great—but rather I, the LORD, am great. My grace is great. I am a great and gracious God. Moses fled. He ran into a desert for a long time and then He ran into Me. I called to the sinner with a very dark side. I forgave him, saved him, and called him, the murder, to lead My people. I exposed his dark side so you would know Moses is just an ordinary sinful person like you—whom I forgave. The truth is you can’t hide your dark side either—I see it. So humbly confess it and fulfill my call on your life today”.
