and this is what I heard Him say:
God spoke to me today from Exodus 20:23 where God says, "Do not make any gods to be alongside me," and this is what I heard Him say:
"There is no room on My throne for another so don't make any gods alongside of Me! In the past, Israel constantly tested Me with idolatry. They made idols of gold, silver, wood, and stones--the stuff of the earth. Worldly stuff. People today still try to put worldly stuff on the throne with Me, such as homes, cars, sports, entertainment, alcohol, drugs, porn, jobs, careers, friends, relationships, and more. But I will not tolerate another. I alone am the Creator and Redeemer. You must serve Me and Me alone. No competition from the worldly stuff. To encourage Israel to enthrone Me alone I revealed My law, the ten commandments. But with you, I revealed much more to encourage you to enthrone Me. I revealed My love in My Son, Jesus Christ. I loved you--just love Me back. When you do you will remember there is no room on My throne for another. So today take inventory of what you try to place on My throne alongside Me and in love rid yourself of it. I want to be enthroned alone as the God of your life."
