and this is what I heard Him say:
God spoke to me today from Exodus 23:15 … "No one is to appear before me empty-handed.” And this is what I heard Him say:
“Don’t go to church empty-handed! I know what you have in your pocketbook, checkbook, bank account, IRA, and retirement plan. You are not without resources. When you go to the grocery store, gas station, or theater, you take something with you. You take your wallet, your cash or credit card. You expect to use it too. It should be no different when you come into My presence. When you come into the house of the Lord, you should bring an appropriate gift in your hand. Honestly, I don’t need anything you have in your hands. It is merely a way to know what is in your heart. For out of the heart proceeds the desire to bring a gift for me in your hands. Think of it, when I came to you, I did not come empty-handed. No, I brought the gift of salvation, and that cost me My Son. So, this coming Sunday, come into My presence with a gift fitting of the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Don’t come empty-handed when I have blessed you so greatly."
