and this is what I heard Him say:
God spoke to me today from Exodus 24:8. “Moses then took the blood, sprinkled it on the people and said, ‘This is the blood of the covenant that the LORD has made with you in accordance with all these words.’" And this is what I heard Him say:
“Blood is important! Not just for “life flow” through your arteries and veins to and from your heart to keep you alive, but for cleansing and ratification of a covenant relationship with the LORD. Amazing isn’t it. That I made something that stains so permanently in the physical world to be so crucial to permanently cleanse in the spiritual world. The sprinkling of the blood of bulls and goats ceremonially pictured the purification and the ratification of a relationship between God and Israel bound in a covenant. But, in truth, it merely pictures the final removal of sin and complete cleansing by the blood of My Son, Jesus. 'For without the shedding of blood, there is no forgiveness of sins' (Hebrews 9:22). You see, the blood of My Son brings forgiveness and cleansing when applied to the sinner’s heart through confession. Yes, just admit to me how you are wrong—name it specifically—and I will permanently cleanse you with the blood (1 John 1:9). No other blood does this. Only Jesus’s blood is important when it comes to spiritual cleansing."
