and this is what I heard Him say:
God spoke to me today from Exodus 33:17 which says: “And the LORD said to Moses, ‘I will do the very thing you have asked, because I am pleased with you and I know you by name.’" And this is what I heard Him say:
“I’m here for you, are you there for Me? In spite of all that My children did: idolatry, revelry, recklessness, and wickedness—I was there for them. Of course, Moses interceded for them and because I was pleased with Moses I did exactly what Moses wanted. That’s because I knew Moses and what was in his heart. He pleased me. Nothing has really changed. I am still here for those who please me to do the very thing they ask for. Here’s the glitch, you want something but don't get it because you do not ask Me. Then when you do ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures.1 So let Me ask you, “Do you think that you please Me?” “What are the motives for that for which you ask?” You know where you stand. I do too. So do what pleases Me and I will do the very thing you ask. You see, I’m here for you, are you there for Me?”
