God spoke to me today from Exodus 37 which mentions “gold” twenty times: And this is what I heard Him say:
“I deserve your very best!. Sad to say, some of my people are satisfied with mediocrity and they assume that I am too. They think that anything will do. The fact is, I deserve your very best. You consider gold to be most valuable because it is rare, precious, expensive, durable and the best of all metals. So, it is very symbolic of the best that I deserve. Take this a little further. I deserve your very best of everything. For example, I deserve the priority of your time. Surely, you can give Me an hour on Sunday and devotional time every day. I deserve a one-on-one time. You can pray to me. I deserve your best attitude, witness, compassion for others, work on the job, relationship with your spouse, and love. Think of it as a ‘spiritual gold’ because I deserve your very best!
