and this is what I heard Him say:
God spoke to me today from Genesis 22:5 where Abraham said, "Stay here with the donkey while I and the boy go over there. We will worship and then we will come back to you." and this is what I heard Him say:
“Worship involves more than a song. Although I’m blessed by your songs, when you sing them to Me from your heart, true worship involves more. It involves a sacrifice of life. Abraham worshipped without a song but rather with a sacrifice. His was a sacrifice of two lives: his son Isaac’s life and his own life. For Abraham to offer up his son as a burnt offering would be to forfeit forever his own life to grief. Neither would ever be the same after that sacrifice. So it is with you, real worship is not found in what you say, it is found in what you do, what you offer, what you sacrifice that changes you forever. I never intended to let Abraham go through with the death of his son. I intended for Abraham to prove his faith, it was all a test for his approval. I planned a substitute to take Isaac’s place. That’s what worship is to be for you. A life-changing experience where you sacrifice your all, only to receive My all instead. Worship involves more than a song.”
