and this is what I heard Him say:
God spoke to me today from Genesis 25:21 where it says, "Isaac prayed to the LORD on behalf of his wife, because she was barren” and this is what I heard Him say:
“Prayer is a powerful thing. It’s amazing once you discover its full power, you don’t stay with it. One powerful aspect of prayer that you let slip is interceding on behalf of another. You may request help once or twice—but then you give up. I know what’s really important to you by how persistent you are with your prayer. Isaac discovered this aspect when his wife was barren. Like every other husband who loves his wife, he wished he could ‘fix’ her barrenness, but he couldn’t. So he prayed to Me, the only one who could fix it, and I did. Today someone you know, and perhaps love deeply, will find barrenness in life that neither he or she nor you can fix. Perhaps barrenness of the womb, or of health, or of relationships, or of finances, or of emotional stability. Whatever barrenness, don’t lose hope. Pray! Pray to me and watch me work it out in a way that will blow your mind. Today, remember that prayer is a powerful thing.”
