Read Genesis 29

God spoke to me today from Genesis 29:17 where it says, "Leah had weak eyes, but Rachel was lovely in form, and beautiful" and this is what I heard Him say:

“I pity the underdog.  While others only saw Leah’s weak eyes in comparison to Rachael’s ravishing beauty, I took pity on Leah’s heart.  While Jacob loved the beauty queen, I gave the blessing of children to her sister, Leah.  I still pity the underdog.  So today when you feel like you don’t measure up to someone else’s beauty, intellect, talent, wealth, friends, fame, or popularity, just remember that I pity the underdog.  I look beyond the external.  I look at your heart.  Yes, I see your pain and heartache and I also see your trust in Me.  That trust in Me is something very beautiful in My eyes and something very smart.  I see you as someone gifted by My grace, someone rich in what really matters, and someone who is My friend.  That does not mean that I don’t pity the beautiful people, who trust in Me, but rather it just means that I’m far more concerned with your heart than I am with the external.  So today when you start to get down on yourself for not measuring up to others, remember I pity the underdog.”
