and this is what I heard Him say:
God spoke to me today from Genesis 37:27 where Judah said, “Come, let's sell him to the Ishmaelites” and this is what I heard Him say:
“Sometimes I allow bad things to happen to good people. Yes, I could have stopped Judah from selling his brother Joseph to the Ishmaelites. Before that sale, I could have prevented Joseph from finding his angry brothers when he had searched for them. Even before that, I could have removed the very thought that Jacob had to send Joseph to find his brothers. But I didn’t. I had a much greater purpose in mind that would even work the bad for the good of all. It’s still like that. I could prevent everything that you perceive as bad or evil, but I have a grander purpose of displaying My providential powers. In the end, you will stand in utter amazement when you see how I will work even the bad and evil for good. So today when you are inclined to say, ‘Why is this happening to Me? Where is God when I need Him?’ Just remember, I sometimes allow bad things to happen to good people for a greater purpose. So instead ask yourself, ‘What awesome thing is my God about to accomplish through this difficulty in my life!”
