and this is what I heard Him say:
God spoke to me today from Genesis 38:7 &10 where God said, “But Er, Judah's firstborn, was wicked in the LORD's sight; so the LORD put him to death” and “What he [Onan] did was wicked in the LORD's sight; so he put him to death also.” and this is what I heard Him say:
“Don’t treat wickedness lightly—I don’t. Sometimes I don’t put judgment off until the judgment day. Sometimes I intrude into space and time with immediate judgment as I did with Er and Onan. While Er was personally wicked to the core, his brother, Onan, did a wicked thing. He defied Me. Every day you are offered opportunities to obey Me and show that you are truly a follower of Me, the true and living God. Just because the world is evil and wicked does not mean you have to be like them, act like them, nor accept their wickedness—I do not accept it. I have called you to be different. I have called you to be obedient—even when you don’t want to do what I command you to do. Onan wickedly defied my command to offer surrogate seed to his dead brother’s wife. He treated his wicked disobedience lightly—I did not. It is important that you do not treat wickedness lightly either. Not even in the TV programs or movies you watch. The evil world you live in has an agenda of wickedness in its entertainment offering of sexual immorality, foul language, and extreme violence. Do not tolerate it. Don’t treat wickedness lightly!”
