and this is what I heard Him say:
God spoke to me today from Genesis 46:34 where God's Word says, “…Then you will be allowed to settle in the region of Goshen, for all shepherds are detestable to the Egyptians.” and this is what I heard Him say:
“Although you are in the world, you are not to be part of the world. Just as Jacob and his family were in Egypt but were not Egyptian, so you are in the world but are not to be worldly. Even though you live, work, play, and socialize in the world, you are to be separate from the world. Just as the lifestyle of Jacob and his family were detestable to the Egyptians, even so, your lifestyle of personal holiness will be detestable to the world. They will ridicule, persecute, and even try to kill you for your full devotion to Me. However, just as Goshen was a safe place for Jacob’s family in Egypt, so the church is a safe place for you in the world. Those who detest your personal holiness and whole-hearted devotion to Me will flee from the church. It is in the church, your spiritual family that you will find the support and encouragement you need. So rather than conform to the world, set yourself apart from it. Even though you are in the world, do not be a part of the world.”
