and this is what I heard Him say:
Read Genesis 9
God spoke to me today from Genesis 9:6 where He says, “Whoever sheds the blood of man, by man shall his blood be shed; for in the image of God has God made man.” and this is what I heard Him say:
“Human life is sacred because it reflects My glory. I made you in My image. Even though by your sin, you forfeited the narrow sense of My absolute holiness, righteous, and true knowledge, you still retain the wider sense of My image reflected in your possession of person and personality. You are not an animal. You are the pinnacle of My creation. You are My image-bearer. Even in your fallen condition, you still reflect my glory. When anyone premeditatedly kills My image-bearer they have declared war on Me and My image. There is a great penalty for such an assault: capital punishment. Life is so sacred that the deliberate murderer must forfeit his or her life; life for life. Since life begins at conception, those who murder the preborn child, have assaulted Me. They are not guiltless. They will give an account before Me. Oh, that such guilty participants would right now confess they are wrong, repent and turn from such evil ways. I will forgive if you really repent. My justice will prevail in the end. So today live in constant awareness that all human life is sacred.”
