and this is what I heard Him say:
God spoke to me today from Leviticus 1:9 which says: “... the priest is to burn all of it on the altar. It is a burnt offering, an offering made by fire, an aroma pleasing to the LORD.” And this is what I heard Him say:
“Put it all on the altar!” I made provision for two kinds of offerings so you could come into My presence: bloody and non-bloody offerings. The bloody burnt offering represented a total consecration and devotion to Me. First, the people were to bring it to Me. Then they were to lay their hands on the victim to identify with it. Next, they had to slaughter it as a substitute in their place. The priest then was to take its blood and mediated it by sprinkling it blood around the altar. Finally, the carcass was to be placed on the altar to ‘burn all of it.” Of course, animal sacrifices only covered up the sin--they could not take it away. However, My Son, Jesus, appeared to take away sin by the sacrifice of himself (Hebrews 9:26). Furthermore, you too are a kingdom of priests (Revelation 1:6). You have an offering to bring to Me. I urge you to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God--this is your spiritual act of worship (Romans 12:1). So today, accept Jesus’ sacrifice and make your own offering by giving your life back to Me. In other words, put it all on the altar today.
