and this is what I heard Him say:
God spoke to me today from Leviticus 11:45 which says: “be holy, because I am holy.” And this is what I heard Him say:
“My holiness drills down to the smallest details of life!” It’s true, right down to the things you eat. I know that you are thinking about what makes something clean or unclean? It’s simple, a person or object is ceremonially clean if that person or object is presentable in My temple. It is ceremonially unclean if it is not. I set these rules because Nadab and Abihu brought strange fire into My sanctuary and died for it. So I have said, 'You must distinguish between the holy and the common, between the unclean and the clean' (Leviticus 10:10-11). I set the rules because I am God. You are required to obey them because you are My creature. Although you no longer go in and out of My temple—instead you are My temple. You still need to keep your temple that I indwell holy. One way to do that is to consider that whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, that you do it all for My glory. (1Corinthians 10:31). So ask yourself, ‘Is this what the Lord wants me to eat, drink, or do?’ To be holy is to be set apart from all that is contrary to Me and to be committed to all that is like Me. That’s why “My holiness drills down to the smallest details of life!”
