and this is what I heard Him say:

Read Leviticus 16

God spoke to me today from Leviticus 16:34 which says: "Atonement is to be made once a year for all the sins of the Israelites."  And this is what I heard Him say to me:

“How Yom Kippur was fulfilled!  Every year on Yom Kippur (the Day of Atonement) sacrifices were made for the priesthood, sanctuary, and nation.  The ‘Kippur’ (atonement) was only temporarily and only ‘covered-up’ sin.  It was limited because it was the blood of bulls and goats.  It was merely a shadow of the reality.  The reality is that My Son, Jesus Christ, the lamb of God was sent to ‘take away’ the sin of the world. His blood did more than ‘cover-up’ sin for a year—His blood ‘took-away’ sin forever.  You see, ‘He sacrificed for their sins once for all when he offered himself’ (Hebrews 7:27).  Furthermore, ‘he has appeared once for all at the end of the ages to do away with sin by the sacrifice of himself … and … he was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many people’ (Hebrews 9:26,28).  The reoccurring sacrifices were replaced with the once-for-all sacrifice, the temporary sacrifices were replaced with the eternal sacrifice, the ‘cover-up’ sin sacrifices were replaced with the ‘taken-away’ sin sacrifice,  and the good sacrifices were replaced with the best sacrifice.  That’s how Yom Kippur was fulfilled!”
