and this is what I heard Him say:
God spoke to me today from Leviticus 2:8-9 which says: ”Bring the grain offering …; present it to the priest, who shall take it to the altar. 9 He shall take out the memorial portion from the grain offering and burn it on the altar as an offering made by fire, an aroma pleasing to the LORD.” and this is what I heard Him say:
“Bloody and non-bloody, both matter!” The bloody offerings always shed blood. The grain offerings never shed blood. The two were presented on My altar. Both should remind you of My Son, Jesus. The Grain Offering should remind you that My Son lived a perfectly righteous life for 33 years to qualify as your sinless substitute. He called Himself the “Bread of Life” (John 6:48). In the Grain Offering, you should see the active obedience of My Son who fully obeyed My law in perfect righteousness to qualify as your substitute in death. At the same time, in the Burnt Offering you should remind you of the passive obedience of My Son Who voluntarily laid down His life on the cross for you. Both the bloody and non-bloody were offered together. So, it was with My Son, Jesus. He offered his perfectly lived righteous life for your sin-stained life while at the same time, shedding His blood for your forgiveness of sins. So, you see, the bloody and non-bloody, both matter! He had to live a perfectly blameless life, depicted in the grain offering and He had to shed His blood, depicted in the burnt offering. Both were required to save you.
