and this is what I heard Him say:
God spoke to me today from Leviticus 3:1 & 11 which says: "If someone's offering is a fellowship offering … 11 The priest shall burn them on the altar as food, an offering made to the LORD by fire.” and this is what I heard Him say:
“You want to grab lunch!” Think about it. You have your best fellowship around food. You say to a friend, ‘Hey, let’s do lunch,’ or ‘Let’s talk about it over dinner.’ Food brings us together to share with each other the rest of life we share in common. Now, that’s fellowship. So here, in this passage, I have called the Fellowship Offering ‘food.’ I do so for good reason. You see, the Fellowship Offering is one that the offeror can eat with Me. Of course, I don’t literally eat it—My food is burnt up on the altar. But the offeror also gets to eat a portion of it literally (Leviticus 7:15). So, we eat together. That depicts our fellowship one with another. The fellowship offering as a blood offering should remind you that if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin (1John 1:7). So, what you think? Do you want to get together? How about it, you want to grab lunch?”
