and this is what I heard Him say:
God spoke to me today from Leviticus 4:2-3 which says: "When anyone sins unintentionally and does what is forbidden … he must bring to the LORD … a sin offering for the sin he has committed.” And this is what I heard Him say:
“Even when you don’t mean to blow it, I got you covered!” Sometimes you blow it out of pure ignorance--you just didn’t know My will. Kind of like when you go 15 miles over the speed limit because the sign was knocked down. Sometimes, you just don’t mean what you say, too. You intended it one way and it was received the wrong way. After you stop and think about it, you would have taken offense to it too. But you didn’t mean it. Still, in both cases, it was wrong. Well, the good news is that I have a sacrifice for that too. It was called a “Sin Offering.” Of course, all the offerings found their fulfillment in the sacrifice of My Son, Jesus. So even today, when you sin unintentionally, He has you covered. That’s why My Word says, ’If you claim to be without sin, you deceive yourselves and the truth is not in you. If you confess your sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive you your sins and purify you from all unrighteousness’ (1John 1:8-9). So even when you don’t mean to blow it, I got you covered.” Just confess it when you discover you’ve blown it.
